instead of making human rights the priority?  Doctors and hospitals have no doubt felt the
effects of [informed] parents choosing to keep their sons whole, skip vaccines and give birth
at home or in a birthing center.  The AAP has an epiphany that circumcision is a good thing in
infant circumcision.

When an organization is more concerned with bowing to the political and monetary influences
of those who would benefit from the endorsement of circumcision and certainly not the
infants who would be affected by the procedure, it bears questioning whether their stance is
even credible. Should we trust their recommendations on this topic if they are so biased
when the rest of the world has shown a huge move away from the procedure?  Does the AAP’
s new recommendation affect me?  You?  We have a few reasons why it shouldn’t.

I don't need the AAP to know that:

  • money > human rights in the USA

  • it's STILL his body, his choice

  • circumcision STILL violates his rights as a human being

  • is STILL mutilation

  • foreskin is natural, circumcision is not

  • your religion ends where his body begins

  • approximately 80% of men in the world are intact

  • only 1% of intact men require circumcision for medical reasons

  • neonates are STILL more likely to die from circumcision than from a car accident

  • it's not a MEDICAL procedure, it's a COSMETIC procedure ... What other cosmetic
    procedures does the AAP recommend?

  • circumcision STILL hurts like hell

  • circumcision STILL robs him of > 20,000 nerve endings

  • babies cannot be properly anesthetized & the procedure is extremely painful

  • neonatal foreskin is resold & the cells used in making anti-aging products & skin grafts

  • circumcision does not eliminate the need for condoms, which actually do protect
    against disease

  • it will STILL affect him for the rest of his life

  • if it's not OK to be done to girls, then it's not OK to be done to boys, either

  • STILL violates MULTIPLE tenets of bioethics, including autonomy, beneficence and
    maleficence

  • STILL doesn't prevent him from contracting HIV and other STDs

  • baby boys aren't having sex and thus are not at risk for STD's so their whole basis for
recommending the procedure would be off by about 15-18 years

  • STILL increases his odds of erectile dysfunction

  • with every part of a mother's body, she STILL knows it's wrong

  • it STILL comes with a long list of possible complications, including death It STILL can
disrupt early bonding and breastfeeding It STILL is done without proper informed
    consent

  • Over 250,000 men are seeking foreskin restoration in an effort to replace what was
taken from them without their consent

  • It can STILL cause painful sex for women

  • STILL runs the risk of losing entire penis

  • Possible future surgeries as an infant to "correct" it if not done "right" the first time,
meaning more pain and prolonged healing time

  • It STILL violates all principles of medical ethics, since by all of those principles they
should only be cutting off a non-consenting minor's healthy body part if it’s diseased
and/or disfigured, ALL less radical options have been tried, and the baby will die or
    become dangerously ill otherwise

  • the glans STILL need the foreskin for protection

  • that boys who are circumcised will have less support in dealing with their loss because
they will be in the minority

So BASICALLY, their opinion changes NOTHING!

The AAP, despite its high-sounding
academic name, actually is a trade
association of pediatric doctors. Its primary
duty is to advance the business and
professional interests of its 60,000 members
who are called “fellows”. The interests of its
child-patients are a distant second to their
primary interest.

Doctors Opposing Circumcision
"He who controls the media controls the
minds of the public."

Noam Chomsky
"For the first time in my life, there is a group
that I cannot bring myself to pray for- the
doctors who decided that a decline in
revenue should be "righted" instead of the
treatment of babies. No, I cannot bring
myself to pray for those who are evil."

"If anyone really believes that medical costs
will increase as circumcision declines, I have
a bridge in Brooklyn that I would like to sell
to him/her. One in ten cut baby boys have
to have surgery around one year after birth
because his 'pee-hole' closes up (meatal
stenosis). All the money that will be saved
by eliminating that second unnecessary
operation will be huge. Not to mention, the
billions of dollars that North Americans
spend per year on "lube" for sex...intact men
don't have that expense. Leaving the penis
intact is a win-win-win-win-win-win game."
